For over 20 years, I wore many hats as a social worker. Then, life took a turn in 2020. (Didn't everyone's?) Following a corporate transition and an unexpected layoff, I found myself playing around with clay. I needed to make some pink earrings to wear to my daughter's games (Shout out Lady Lebrons!). What started as a fun hobby became a clay earring business when a friend offered to buy some earrings from me. 

It didn't take long for me to add one more activity to the mix, because why not? I've thought about getting a laser engraver for a long time. It wasn't just about creating fun designs; for me, it was about preserving memories and bringing unique ideas to life. I'm very sentimental, treasuring my children's artwork, their scribbled notes, and even my dad's signature that I have tattooed on my wrist. I know the power these keepsakes hold.

I still find it therapeutic to create clay earrings because I can be as creative as I want! They are all handmade by me: rolled, cut, painted, baked, sanded, glazed... it's a process! And now with the laser, I'm able to further enhance the earrings with different textures of wood and acrylic.
